Sean Lee
Sean graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy with Honours. During his studies, he received the Curtin Merit Scholarship in recognition of academic excellence. His honours project, which explored positive biopsychosocial factors associated with pain protection, is currently undergoing publication in a scientific journal and will be presented at the World Pain Forum 2026. Sean has clinical experience across hospital and private practice settings in both Singapore and Australia, giving him exposure to a wide range of patient presentations and healthcare environments. He has worked with patients managing musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions, strengthening his ability to support patients across different stages of care, from early recovery in hospital settings to longer-term rehabilitation and return-to-function planning in private practice. His background enables him to take a structured, evidence-based approach to care while adapting treatment to each patient’s goals, lifestyle, and stage of recovery. Sean is passionate about helping patients move better, recover with confidence, and return to the activities that matter most to them. He works with patients to prioritise the physiotherapy-related issues affecting their daily lives, reassure them through clear explanations of their condition, and individualise treatment based on their goals, lifestyle, and stage of recovery. He also focuses on measuring progress through meaningful outcomes, such as pain reduction, strength, mobility, confidence, and return to activity. Most importantly, Sean aims to empower patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their recovery beyond the clinic. Outside of work, Sean stays active through strength training at the gym, which complements his interest in movement, performance, and rehabilitation. He also enjoys building and setting up desktop computers, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with SPD (formerly known as the Society for the Physically Disabled), where he has supported activities for individuals with physical disabilities.
