TCM × Physio in Singapore
Two Therapies, One Recovery Plan
Chinese medicine and physiotherapy, working together instead of in separate rooms. In two coordinated sessions available at our Woodleigh clinic exclusively, you’re assessed and treated by both a licensed TCM physician and a physiotherapist — so your circulation and your strength are restored together, not one clinic at a time.

Services
Most people are told to pick a side — Western physiotherapy or Traditional Chinese Medicine. We think that choice fails the patient. Pain that keeps coming back usually needs both: circulation restored and strength rebuilt. TCM × Physio brings the two disciplines into one coordinated plan.
First-visit promo: both sessions for $188 (usual $390) — including a complimentary recovery gift worth $30.
How it Works
Two independent expert reads. One coordinated plan.
Please note: your two sessions may fall on different days rather than back-to-back — they’re scheduled around the availability of the TCM physician and the physiotherapist.
Session 1 — Traditional Chinese Medicine (your first visit)
Your TCM physician starts with a full assessment — palpation, tongue and pulse, sleep and appetite — then treats with acupuncture and/or tuina to promote circulation and ease pain. This settles the pain first, so you’re better able to move. (Consult + treatment, about 40 minutes.)
Session 2 — Physiotherapy (your next visit)
Your physiotherapist assesses your movement, strength and function, then builds the active plan that makes the relief last — because hands-on care opens a window, and loading makes it stick. (Assessment + treatment, about 40 minutes.)
The Dual Assessment — Our Signature
Two lenses catch what one misses. Your physiotherapist maps movement and strength; your TCM physician reads the whole-system pattern — circulation, sleep, stress. Each catches the other’s blind spot, so you leave with one plan instead of two opinions.
What’s Included
Session 1: TCM consultation + acupuncture/tuina (~40 min)
Session 2: Physiotherapy assessment + treatment (~40 min)
A complimentary recovery gift worth $30 — a trigger ball or resistance band from physio, plus ear seeds from TCM
Both sessions for $188 (usual value $390) — a first-visit introductory promotion
Continuing care after your first visit is available at standard à la carte pricing or through our treatment packages — your physician or physiotherapist will talk you through the options.
Conditions We Treat
Combining physiotherapy and TCM is especially suited to injuries and conditions where both circulation, strength, and movement matter. Research supports co-managing these with both disciplines:
Frozen shoulder
Chronic low back pain
Knee osteoarthritis
Lumbar disc herniation
Post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome
Persistent musculoskeletal pain — e.g. tennis elbow and plantar heel pain
We also treat neck pain, sports strains and tendinopathies, headaches and migraine, and sleep- or stress-related pain. Every plan is individualised, and we’re honest about what each therapy can and can’t do — we focus on improving your pain and function, not overpromising.
Who Can Benefit

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this one visit or two?
Is this one visit or two?
Two. You’ll see the TCM physician first, then the physiotherapist. The sessions may fall on different days rather than same-day or back-to-back, depending on the availability of the physician and physiotherapist — each has its own focus, and together they form one plan.
What happens after the first-visit promo?

The $188 is a first-visit introductory offer. If you’d like to continue, your physician or physiotherapist can discuss ongoing care with you — available at standard à la carte pricing or through our treatment packages.
Why does TCM come first?
Why does TCM come first?
Acupuncture and tuina help settle pain and restore circulation, so you’re more comfortable and better able to move and load during your physiotherapy session.
Is acupuncture the same as dry needling?
Is acupuncture the same as dry needling?
No. Acupuncture (performed by our TCM physician) works your whole-system circulation along channels; dry needling (performed by a physiotherapist) targets a specific muscle or trigger point. They work different layers — which is exactly why using both covers more ground.
Will the needles hurt?
Will the needles hurt?
Most people are surprised by how little they feel. Acupuncture needles are very fine, and if you’re needle-shy there are needle-free options such as ear seeds. Your practitioner will always work within your comfort.
